Assessment was planned by first creating the instructional objectives, then the activity, and then the rubric to match the instrutional objective. the rubric was created to tell the students exactly what the teacher wants them to accomplish.
We planned our assessment after we had aligned our activities with the performance objectives. We created a rubric to determine how the students would be scored on each activity. We let them use the rubrics and complete a self-assessment of their own work. We feel that self assessment and reflection is particularly important.
